You do not need to create an account or provide any personally identifiable information (PII) like your name or email to use NoNoShorts.
1.2 Local Device Processing
Any data related to your usage, such as time spent on shorts or the number of videos watched, is processed and stored exclusively on your device. This information is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
1.3 Information Collected via Accessibility Service
NoNoShorts utilizes Android’s Accessibility Service API to detect and block short-form video content.
- Technical Scope: The service only scans for User Interface (UI) identifiers (such as class names and resource IDs) within third-party applications supported by the Service (including but not limited to YouTube and Instagram) to determine if a “Shorts” or “Reels” section is active.
- Strict Anti-Collection Policy:
- We do not read, collect, or store any sensitive content, personal messages, keystrokes, or any user-generated content.
- No Input Modification: All user touch and scroll gestures captured via the overlay are relayed to the target application without any modification, indexing, or logging.
- We do not share any information accessed through the Accessibility Service with third parties.
- The service is used solely for real-time interaction control as a digital wellbeing tool.

For free version users, the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
